"Costa del Sol's Blue Flag Beaches and Marinas Set to Soar High This Summer"

Once again, Malaga has been recognized as the most highly awarded province in Andalucía, based on four critical factors, which include water quality and safety.














This recognition has been granted in the form of Blue Flags, the highly prestigious accolade bestowed on beaches and marinas in Europe, offering exceptional amenities and pristine environmental conditions.

This summer, Malaga's coastline will see 39 beaches and six marinas flying the Blue Flag. In second place was Almeria, with 33, and Andalucía, as a whole, received a total of 148 blue flags, out of 729 awarded nationally. The criteria for awarding the blue flag is based on four primary factors, including bathing water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety and services.

The Malaga province has numerous beaches on the list, including Algarrobo, Benalmádena, Casares, Fuengirola, Malaga, Manilva, Marbella, Mijas, Nerja, Torremolinos, and Torrox, while the complete list of marinas includes Benalmádena, Caleta de Vélez (Vélez-Málaga), Estepona, La Duquesa (Manilva), Marbella, S.A., and Puerto José Banús (Marbella).
